Billy Seay Thomas "Billy Bobbers" "Badboat Billy", 97, of High Springs, Florida, passed away on February 22, 2024. Billy was born in Cumberland City, Tennessee on December 31, 1926 to Samuel Rex Thomas and Lela Thomas. Billy was married to Carol for 13 years. Billy received a PhD degree in Physics. He was a physics professor at the University of Florida. He enjoyed walks in nature, playing instruments, spending time with family and friends, sailing, gardening, and bird watching. Billy is survived by his wife, Carol Thomas of High Springs; daughter, Martel Douglas (Mark) of High Springs; sons, Michael Thomas of High Springs and David Thomas of Seattle, Washington; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
