Obituary

BLANCHE LOUISE BOOTHBY(De Sha) Blanche was born October 26, 1928 to Mirel Edward and Blanche (Wise) De Sha. Blanche was a resident of Gainesville from 1946 to 1990 when she returned to her childhood Home in Waldo. Blanche attended Waldo High School where she was a cheerleader and a member of the Girl's Basketball Team. She always talked fondly of hunting Quail with her beloved Father, Mirel Edward, and his Bird Dogs Jack and Queen. Blanche's lifelong occupation was "Mother", to her three boys; David, Rick and Gary. Her life was devoted to the well being and happiness of her children. She always took pride in her home being "the place the kids hung out", because of her giving, amiable, and mothering character. She was always the first to step up and volunteer her time and support for anything that benefited the happiness and well being of her children. Blanche Married her beloved husband of sixty-six years, David Bernarr, after his return from Military service following World War II . She was a supportive, caring wife for nearly seven decades and was a devoted caretaker during his declining health. After raising her Boys and David's retirement in 1988, she and David moved back to the Desha Family Homestead in Waldo, to reside in the home that her Father built in 1929, and that she didn't leave until her marriage in 1946. Her return to Waldo gave her comfort and her Beloved Friend Linda Wise exemplified the caring support of the Waldo Community. Blanche was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waldo and Eastern Star.
