Mr. Bobby Lee Christian age 84, of Melrose passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Orange Park Medical Center. He was born in Bandy, Virginia on November 9, 1931 to the late James K. and Margaret E. (Howery) Christian and had served in the United States Navy for twelve years. Prior to his retirement he worked in the Tipple for a coal mining plant in Virginia. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Vaonakis of Ohio; two siblings, Jim Christian of Melrose and Shirley Utke of Whitehouse, Tennessee. Also left behind are two grandchildren, Austin and Kayla both of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. There are no scheduled services at this time.
