EVANS Bobby Ray Evans, 81, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on August 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard South, Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Dr. Terry N. Collins of Southpoint Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday August 21, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Evans was born in Geraldine, AL on July 18, 1934 to Felton and Christene Evans. He retired from Flavor Rich Dairy, where he worked as a sales representative for 48 years. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mattie Evelyn Evans; a grandson, Joseph Ray; a great granddaughter, Raylyn; a sister, Helen Stevenson & 2 brothers, Jack & Kenneth Evans. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Patty Flynn (son-in-law, Joe); a granddaughter, Lyn; great grandchildren Alexis, Patrick & Jessica; great-great grandchildren Banks & Cason and by his close friend, Bill Stewart, who he loved like a son.
