In Loving Memory of Bobby J. Powell, Sr.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bobby J. Powell, Sr., who departed this life on June 22, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born on March 28, 1945, in Gainesville, Florida, Bobby was the son of James and Billie Powell. He is survived by his son, Bobby J. Powell, Jr.; his daughter, Julie F. Powell; and his brother, Jimmy Powell.

Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Naval Reserve. Following his military service, he attended the University of Florida, where he earned a bachelor's degree in building construction. He went on to build an exceptional career in the construction industry, as Owner and President of Alcon Construction for 52 years. He will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, leadership, integrity, and dedication to his profession.

A private service was held on June 27, 2026.

During this time of loss, we find comfort in the memories Bobby leaves behind and the lasting impact he made on his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of hard work, service, and commitment will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
