Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Mae Morris Jernigan, 95, will be held at 11:00am Friday, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South with Dr. Eddie Lockamy of Arlington Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Born August 7, 1919 in Olar, South Carolina, Mrs. Jernigan died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at her home in Jacksonville. Bonnie was retired from Southern Bell after 40 years of service. She was a member of Deermeadows Baptist Church, the Southern Bell Pioneers, she also retired from J. C. Penney's, and did volunteer work as an usher at the Florida Theater. Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Jernigan Caulfield; her son, Robert G. Jernigan, both of Jacksonville; and grandchildren, Bonnie, Lesley, and Tonya.
