HAWKINSBrandon John Hawkins "BFG", "BHawk", age 21, passed away on Saturday December 1, 2018 in Jacksonville. A gathering of friends and family will be held to celebrate his life at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday December 8, 2018 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., South.Brandon was born in Oceanside, California on September 7, 1997 to Erica Ann Madson Hawkins & Brian John Hawkins. A Jacksonville resident for most of his life, Brandon graduated from First Coast High School, Class of 2015 and was currently attending FSCJ. Brandon had many interests, but his absolute favorite things were playing basketball, and hanging out with his friends, especially the Ortiz family. He loved his job at the Duval Station Publix; he was the tall thin kid stocking shelves, always ready to help, always smiling.Brandon is survived by his parents, Brian & Erica Hawkins; his brothers, Dillon & Keegan Hawkins; grandmother, Virginia Hawkins; grandmother, Nancy Madson; grandfather, Steve Madson (wife, Kathy); and by many extended family members and friends. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Hawkins.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in honor of Brandon to the Jacksonville Zoo.
