Brenda Kay Clyatt

Mrs. Brenda Kay Clyatt, age 75, of Starke, FL died Sunday afternoon on August 16, 2026 at her daughter & son-in-law's home after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband David Brewster Clyatt. Born August 14, 1951 in Fayetteville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Olivia Slayton. She lived most of her adult life in Jacksonville, FL before moving to Starke, FL many years ago to be close to her daughter. She was a retired financial manager and an active member of the Church of Pentecost apostolic church in Jacksonville, FL and enjoyed volunteering at church and quilting throughout her life. 

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter and son-in-law Carl and Mistie Anderson. Her granddaughters Davenna Miranda with her husband Andrew Miranda as well as Alexis Anderson, her 2 great grandchildren Anthony Miranda and Alijah Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 siblings Juanita Conyers and Janice Turner. She is survived by her sister Ruby Sheffield and her brothers Ronnie and Lonnie Slayton and lots of nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

A Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 AM, Friday morning, August 21, 2026, Graveside at Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family immediately after the service at the Church of Pentecost, 8709 Hogan Road, until 1:30 pm.
