Brenda Kay Spencer age 62 passed away on February 18,2022 surrounded by her family. Even though we are completely heartbroken, we are grateful for the time and memories shared with her. Brenda was born February 2, 1960 in Lima, Oh to Virgil Sr. and Ollie(Ritchie) Spencer. Brenda served her country proudly in the United States Army and retired as a Detention Sergeant from the Alachua County Sheriff's Office in 2017.She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a fierce protector and adored her family. Brenda was a true and loyal friend and loved by many. Brenda is survived by her daughter Melissa K"Missy"(Patrick) Jenkins; grandson Brendan Spencer; granddaughters Jordan Mosely and Morgan Spencer; great granddaughters Addilyn K. Spencer and Paisley Spencer; daughter-in-law Lindsey K. Spencer; a sister Linda(Tom) Sackman; and sister in law Cindy K. Spencer.
