Mrs. Brenda L. Shaughnessy Wahl age 67 of Keystone Heights passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. She was born May 28, 1956, in Richwood, West Virginia to the late Robert and Evelyn Mae (Stevens) Shaughnessy. Brenda was employed with Bradford County School System as a cafeteria cook for several years before retiring. She was a member of the Keystone United Methodist Church, and was an AVID Florida Gator and Jaguars football fan, but most of all she loved being a grandma. Brenda leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 46 years William "Bill" Wahl and their children Alyson Wahl, William "Billy" Wahl, and Joe Wahl all of Keystone Heights; two sisters Patty Shackleford of Melrose and Stephanie Lowe of Castle Hayne, North Carolina. She was lovingly called "Grandma" by Eli, Ryeland, LJ, Hunter, Demetrious, Bethany, Bobby, and Moriah. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Will Smith officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial donation to the American Kidney Foundation.
