Listen to Obituary
Brenna Maria Christian, of Grandin, Florida closed her eyes in death in the arms of her family at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida and opened them in the arms of Jesus her Savior. Brenna was born September 11, 1966, in Jacksonville, Florida to Bryant and Mary Jo Mickler. She married Frank and soon began the balancing act of nurturing her family, homeschooling her children, and office-managing her husbands roofing business. None of the homemaking activities that she poured her heart into kept her from playing the piano and being actively involved in Childrens Ministry at Palm Valley Baptist Church, Lake Hill Baptist Church and, lastly, at New Grace Baptist Church. She loved her Jesus and loved to tell others about Him in song, in word, and deed. Brenna enjoyed plants and flowers and taking good care of them but she mostly loved spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings Brennan Mathews Mickler and Rebecca Maria Mickler, a grandson Trace Armon Manuel, mother and father in-law Warren and Rose Christian, paternal grandparents Bryant H. Mickler and Norma Mickler Crouch (Earl) along with maternal grandparents Albert Lee Mize, Sr., Jennie C. Hamontree and Harold Marcus Hamontree. Brenna is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 wonderful years Everett "Frank" Christian and their children Brandy Gainey (Blake), Brian Christian (Kasandra), Kayla Ormsbee, Christina Wheeler (Ronnie), Alana Davids (Alaina), and Mary Beth Aldridge; parents Bryant M. and Mary Jo (Mize) Mickler; siblings Marcus M. Mickler (Lisa), Sherri Cook (Tim), and Paula Brangan (Rob). Brenna was lovingly called "Grandma" by Asialyn Manuel, Trenton Manuel, Kayleigh Christian, Kenneth Heller, Liam Christian, Dixie Heller, Levi Christian, Braelynne Christian, Daisy Christian, Connor Ormsbee, Dalton Bryan, Grayson Bryan, Raelynn Johnson, Kara Wheeler, Kaeleigh Wheeler, Kimber Wheeler and Westen Wheeler along with great grandchildren Aiden Baker, Nevaeh Baker, Everleigh Baker and Kaleigha Manuel. Also left behind are her nieces and nephews Ciara Hove, Brooklyn Mickler, Ashley Desantis, Marcus Mickler, Christy Urban, Timothy Cook, Christopher Cook, Caleb Cook, Lacy Cook, Lindsay Cook, Sebastian Brangan, Isabella Brangan and Isaac Brangan.
