WO1, Brian Leslie Schiller age 39 of Keystone Heights passed away unexpectedly at his home Saturday, April 27, 2024. He was born April 13, 1985, at AGH in Gainesville to Jack D. and Joy (Starling) Schiller, Jr. and graduated from Bradford County High School in 2003 and joined the National Guard in 2007 where he earned the rank of Signal Maintenance Warrant Officer. As a child Brian was baptized in the River of Life Church of God in Starke; he enjoyed playing the guitar, being outdoors, fishing, and surfing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Brian leaves behind his wife of four years Michelle (Weaver) Schiller and her son Hayden Prevatt both of Fleming Island; parents Jack and Joy (Starling) Schiller, Jr., his sister Lisa Schiller, and brother David Schiller all of Starke. Also left behind is a brother in-law Steven Weaver of Sanford, North Carolina, and sister in-law Rachel Ridaught of Keystone Heights, along with a host of extended family members and friends that will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, Military Honors. Interment will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to k9sforwarriors.org.
