Bruce John Cadieux age 73 of Melrose

I Bruce "Buzz" John Cadieux am sitting here with my parents who preceded me in death, Berne Cadieux and Jean Birchfield, because per Sandi "I can't be left unsupervised".

We all remember the summer in high school when I "borrowed" the gas truck, leading me into entering the Navy, which was the better of the two options. After 21 years of service, I retired from the military and joined the wrecking crew at the U.S. Postal Service. I retired from there in 2023.

During my retirement I enjoyed playing games, especially card games and I liked it even better when I won, even though I wasn't allowed to keep score anymore. I destroyed our computer because I tried to "fix" it even after I was told not to touch it. I admit I don't know how to use them.

I leave behind my wife Sandi Cadieux and hope she is courageous enough to navigate the rest of this life with her sister wife Debra Holmes. Don't forget I left you the yahoo stick to keep Debra in line. May it forever be in your favor as I gifted you my children. I also leave behind my oldest daughter, Tanya Cadieux, Jennifer Cadieux my perfect angel baby sent from above, the apple of my eye, Candace (Jody) Olivent the menace whose halo is always a little askew, hehehe. My sons John (Doris) Cadieux and Israel (Robin) Cadieux. I am proud of the men and fathers they have become.

I am also survived by my sisters Robin Vaughn, Sandra Lynn ( Chris) Smith, and my brothers Peter Joseph (Vanessa) Larsen and Scott Lee Larsen, my grandchildren Brittany, Kahlee, Ethan, Dillon, Logan, Gabriel, Avery, Aiden, Rosalie, Maria and Isaac; my great grandson, Oliver, my stepchildren and their families Rebecca Richards and Sam (Dylan) Huling. I would like to say a special thank you to all of my children's significant others for all of their help, support and kindness shown to my children and I during this time.

Just know "this is what I always wanted" watching my favorite movies Waterworld, Hocus Pocus and Wild Wild West uninterrupted.

Now I am going to sit back and watch the chaos unfold!

There will be a funeral Mass for Bruce on September 17, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 441 North Temple Avenue, Starke. A military service will be held at Knoxville National Cemetery on October 9, 2026 12:00 p.m., 939 Tyson Street, Knoxville, TN.
