Bryan Keith Nickerson / "Top Hat", age 33, passed away on Monday October 27, 2014 in Jacksonville Florida. The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday October 31, 2014 at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home. Bryan's wishes upon his death were to be cremated and his ashes to be spread over Hanama Bay, Hawaii which will be done at a later date. A native Jacksonville resident, Bryan was born here on January 25, 1981 to Josella Karen-Kohler-Nickerson & Joseph E. Nickerson. Bryan attended Englewood High School and was very active in Remote Control Car Racing. He loved speed at all levels, racing everything from his Remote Control Cars to Four Wheelers to his own Nitrous Infused Car. Bryan enjoyed his career with Diversified Consultants, a local collection agency, and had many strong bonds with his co-workers. Bryan was preceded in death by grandparents Melvin and Tiny Kohler and his uncle Randall G. Kohler. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Karen & John Jones of Jacksonville; father, Joseph Nickerson of Iowa; sisters, Kristen Kristof, Tara Frazee & Melissa Nickerson; brothers Nicky and Matthew Nickerson; step-brothers, Jonathan & Matthew Jones; step-sister, Brandi Sapp; grandmother, Annie Kohler; Uncle Mike and Aunt Geralyn Kohler; cousins Mike Jr. and Jennifer Kohler; Uncle Russell and Aunt Raylene Kohler and cousin Kyle Kohler. In addition there were many other aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members & many many neighborhood friends.
