Burton Kendrix Pickett, aged 69, residing in Jacksonville, passed away on August 28, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.Ken, born on May 25, 1953, grew up in Jacksonville and studied at FJC (now FSCJ) and then finished his bachelors degree at Florida State University, where he met his wife, Janyce. Ken and Janyce married in 1977 and resided in Jacksonville.Ken worked many years in management at Prudential/Aetna. Ken lived a full life enjoying gardening, cooking, taking his grandchildren to church, watching his granddaughters dance, watching his grandsons baseball games, and being with his family. Ken loved his Florida State Seminoles and enjoyed watching football with his family. He was a devout Christian and a member of the Eleven22 Church.He is survived by his wife of 45 years Janyce, his children Jeremy (Melissa), Jamie (Kelly), Jordan (Eric), and Julie (Daniel), his grandchildren Larkyn, Landis, Livia, Rowan, Jameson, Kylietta, Kelbe, Emorie, Ada, and Coralie, his brother Dean, his twin sister Sherrie (Rich), as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.Ken joins his father Burton, his mother Jessie, and his two sisters Donna (Kenneth) Adams and Beverly (John) Johnson in heaven.Ken was loved by many and will be missed dearly.Pastor Richard Simmons will officiate a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September, 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Eleven22 Church located at 14286 Beach Blvd #2..
