Dr. Byron Winston George, 78, of Keystone Heights passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the Park of the Palms. He was born on August 11, 1945, in Grenville, Grenada, W.I. to the late J. Adrian George and Otil Veronica George Ne Pierre. Dr George was a spiritual man who devoted his life to his Lord and Savior. After moving to the US in early adulthood, he started many churches in various states and frequently traveled to share the Word of God. When not actively involved in the ministry, he spent his time counseling others regarding psychological matters and creating ways to encourage personal growth. He was an avid reader with a scholarly mind and enthusiastically shared his knowledge with others. He was musically inclined, wrote many songs, and could often be heard singing in combination with other activities. He enjoyed playing tennis, working in his yard, and spending time interacting with his loved ones and family. The impact he had on those who knew him will last for generations to come. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Raymond George and Dalton George, and sister, Merline George.Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Mabel McLeod George, of Keystone, daughter, Aleida Zollman (George) of Prior Lake, MN, son, Geoffrey George of Keystone Heights, two granddaughters: Adrienne Zollman and Jaiden Zollman both of Prior Lake, MN, five brothers: Alwyn George of St. Andrew, Grenada, W.I., Osborn George of Lanham, MD, Eon George, Devon George, Carlton George all of St. Andrew, Grenada, W.I., seven sisters: Louisa Hamilton and Rhoda Morency both of St. Andrew, Grenada, W.I., Erla George of Middlesex, England, Rawlda George of St. David, Grenada, W.I., Norma George of Woodlyn, PA, Pamela George and Claudia Andrew both of St. Andrew, Grenada, W.I. and step mother, Mitlida George of St. Andrew, Grenada, W.I.The family will receive friends at the Community Church of Keystone Heights on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 1:30-2:00pm. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Steven Klingler officiating. He will be laid to rest at Keystone Heights Cemetery at 3:00pm.Dr. George was beloved by many and will be deeply missed.
