Calvin "Elwood" Padgett

Mr. Calvin "Elwood" Padgett age 73 of Hampton passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at Haven Hospice in Gainesville. He was born September 21, 1946 in Brooker to Lloyd and Mary (Estelle) Padgett and had served in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Padgett worked many years for Padgett Septic Tank before retiring. He had a passion for wood working and collecting antiques. He was also known for being a cowboy at heart and having Rodeos at his home. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three brothers Cecil, Kenny and Cauthorn. Mr. Padgett leaves behind is wife of 10 years Penny (Gatlin) Padgett of Hampton and three children Dean Padgett of Hog Valley, Regina Bean of Idaho and Jason Padgett of Hampton. Also left behind are two sisters Catherine Sapp and Annette Norman both of Starke along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at Dedan Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Findley officiating.
