Carmela Rose "Millie" Santarsiero (nee Zannella) peacefully went to be with the Lord at home at the age of 95 on Thursday, November 23rd, with her son and daughter-in-law at her side in Newburgh, Indiana. Millie, one of seven children, was born in Buffalo, NY, December 7, 1927, to Michael Zannella, Sr., and Philomena Zannella (nee Salvatore). She is survived by her brother Michael Zannella, children Michael (Rachael) Santarsiero, Thomas (Jean Chamberlain) Santarsiero, Camille (Ron) Renken, and Marcus Santarsiero; grandchildren Maria, Vincent (Andrea), and Meagan; great grandchildren Aria and Nolan; and many nieces and nephews. Millie was preceded in death by her husband Tom (married 72 years), great-granddaughter Adalyn, and brothers and sister Anthony Miranda, Michael Miranda, Louis Zannella, Vito Zannella, Mary (Peter) Todoro. Millie was fond of being a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. She joyfully gave her time to the 700 Club, conducted a women's bible study in the Alachua County Jail in Gainesville FL, and mentored women at the Crisis Pregnancy Center. A viewing will be open to friends and family Monday, December 4, 2023 from 6 pm-8 pm at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL.
