Carmen Aurea de Jesus was born on August 24, 1933, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico to parents Santiago Molina and Amparo Cruz, and was called into eternity on February 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Carmen is survived by her sisters, Holmida Molina Cruz, and Luisa Cruz, and her brother, Danilo Cruz. A devoted homemaker, Carmen cherished her role as wife to her husband, Pablo de Jesus, and as mother nurturing and raising her sons: Wilfredo, Pablo, Jose, and stepson Roberto. Her caring spirit and devotion to her family were evident in the compassion she showed to all who knew her. A key aspect of Carmen's character was that she always showed a spirit of contentment throughout life's ever-changing circumstances. Carmen often shared nuggets of wisdom she accumulated from her life experiences surpassing the knowledge gained by others in academic pursuits. However, Carmen will be most remembered for her unwavering love, resilience, and the light she brought into the lives of those around her. As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, everyone in her family will honor Carmen's memory with funeral services to be held Saturday, February 21st at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Meadow Cemetery Chapel at 4100 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32606. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life and the legacy of love she leaves behind. She will be laid to rest after her memorial service at a nearby site on these grounds. She will be dearly missed by her sons, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
