Carmen E. (Reyes) Garvin, age 71, a long time resident of Green Cove Springs, died Friday, March 11, 2011 in Jacksonville.Born on August 28, 1939 in Havana, Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Roque) Reyes.Prior to her retirement she was employed as a social worker with the Dept. of Children & Families in Green Cove Springs.Mrs. Garvin was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fleming Island.She is survived by her children; Joe Garcia and Charles M. Garcia both of Green Cove Springs and Martha Taylor of Jacksonville. One sister; Rita M. Noa of Gainesville, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning, March 24, 2011 at 11 oclock at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7190 Hwy. 17, S., Fleming Island with Fr.
