Carol Knoll Beaty, age 95, passed away on Tuesday March 21, 2017 at Heritage Crossings in Jacksonville. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday March 27, 2017 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday March 26 at the funeral home.A Jacksonville native, Carol was born here on December 18, 1921 to August Knoll & Erin Sieg Knoll. She was a retired secretary from the insurance industry and was a former attendant of St. Johns Lutheran Church.Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Marvin E. Beaty and a sister, Gertrude K. West.
