Carol Christine Jordon Funeral services for Carol Christine Jordon, 66, who died May 23, 2012, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in East 11th Street Baptist Church, 1700 East 11th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206, with Rev. Bill Crews officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville National VA Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Mrs. Jordon was born in Sandusky, Michigan and has traveled the world as an Air Force wife. She had resided in Jacksonville, Florida since 1990 and had worked for Winn-Dixie on Old St. Augustine Road and Just for Kids on Losco Road which brought her much joy. She was a member of East 11th Street Baptist Church and was the active church pianist for the past 18 years. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, the late Franklin E. Jordon; Survivors include 1 daughter, Lori A. Zumarraga (Alan); 1 son, James M. Jordon (Stephanie); 1 sister and 3 brothers; 5 grandchildren, Lauren K. Zumarraga, Nicole C. Jordon, James M. Jordon II, Ryan C. Jordon, and Emily Mae Jordon; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Mrs. Jordon was one of 9 children in her family.
