Mrs. Carol Ann Porter, 68 of Hawthorne passed away at her home on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 following an extended illness. Mrs. Porter was born in Louisville, Kentucky on Nov. 27, 1947 and was a homemaker. She has been living in Hawthorne for the past 22 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Keystone Heights. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Forest Eugene Porter on April 4, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Patty Underwood and her son Jimmy Porter both of Hawthorne, five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service was held at the First Baptist Church of Keystone Heights on Monday, October 11, 2010 with Pastor Jim Prose officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
