Carol Elaine Sims

Carol Oman Sims, 73, passed away in her home on February 20,2021. She was born September 18, 1947 in Chicago IL, she was the daughter of Douglas Fayette Oman Sr. and Virginia Lou Eubanks Oman.Carol graduated from Englewood High School in Jacksonville FL 1965. In 1970, she had her only daughter Jennifer Sims McCall. In 1984, Carol received her Bachelors degree in accounting from the University of North Florida. She then worked as a Federal Bank Examiner for the Office of the Controller of Currency. She was a long-time member of the St. Johns Episcopal Cathedral, she loved gardening, baking, and her canine companions. Carol had an incredibly strong faith, was intelligent, honest, and a fierce mother and grandmother.In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother Douglas Fayette Oman Jr. Carol leaves behind her daughter Jennifer Sims McCall, her son in law Gregory McCall, and her two grandchildren Avery and Liam McCall.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Johns Cathedral, the Jacksonville Humane Society, and Planned Parenthood.George H.
