Carolyn Perry Greene

Ms. Carolyn Perry Green 75 of Melrose passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021. She was born January 12, 1946, in Gainesville to Benjamin Perry and Margery (Ploeger) Greene. Carolyn was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Darien, Georgia. She was an avid Atlanta Braves Baseball fan and enjoyed singing in her church choir, sewing, knitting and family photography. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother Andrew P. Greene; great nephew Austin Yarbrough; grandparents Paul H. and Louise Ploeger, Sr.; aunts and uncles Betty and Carter Quint and Paul H. and Winifred Ploeger, Jr. She is survived by her loving and caring nieces Sally Yarbrough (Dale) and Arlene G. Jones (Hugh); cousins Louise and Van Aiken, Katherine and Paul Dunbar, Paul and Carole Ploeger III, William and Alta Ploeger along with Robert and Joyce Ploeger. Also left behind are her great nieces Aubrey M. Mullins, Casey Alters, Danielle Yarbrough and great nephew Hunter Yarbrough. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at St. Andrews Cemetery in Darien, Georgia with Rector Bill Barton officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donation be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church Two Saints Caf, 300 Greene St., Darien, GA 31305 Food Drive or to your local baseball league for children.
