Carolyn Cason Griffis

Carolyn C. Griffis went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on March 16, 2016 at the age of 78 at E.T. York Haven Hospice Care Center in Gainesville, FL.She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Carolyn was an avid sports fan, particularly of the UF Gators. She spent many years working in the Clerk of Courts Office with Buddy Irby.Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Lanier and Edith Cason; her husband, William "Willie" Griffis; her daughter, Patti Register; and her son, William "Bill" Griffis, Jr. Carolyn is survived by her daughter Kay Griffis; son-in-law, Carl Register; Grandchildren, Jana Jenkins, Patti Cannon, Kara Griffis, William "Billy" Griffis III; and great-grandchildren, Colton Morgan and Shannon Jenkins.Funeral Services will be on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, FL with interment to follow at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central.
