Carolyn Pippin Kemp entered into the arms of Jesus, her sweet Savior on August 9, 2024. Born in Johnson City, TN, she and her husband, Sherman, moved to Jacksonville, FL where she has lived the last sixty-seven years. She taught first grade as her career which was a calling God blessed her with. She and Sherman were faithful, active members of First Baptist Church Downtown. She loved Jesus and served Him as a Sunday School teacher for many years. After forty-one years of marriage to Sherman, he was called home to Jesus. Thirteen years later she married Matt Kemp and they were married eleven years until his death in 2022. Carolyn is survived by her brother Bill Anderson, daughter Becky Jones, and a son David Pippin. She has three grandchildren: Parker, Davy and Jennifer. Additionally, she has four great-grandchildren, Chloe, Emma, Dorian and Chanel. There is so much more to tell about this amazing woman who was so kind, dearly loved, and was the epitome of a woman of God, but it will take an entire book to tell it all. She will be missed. A private interment will be held at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery.
