Memorial services for Carolyn Boone Mette, 78, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July1, 2014 at Southpoint Baptist Church with Dr. Terry N. Collins officiating. Born June 7, 1936 in Bridgeport, CT and passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 in Jacksonville, Fl. Mrs. Mette was a faithful member of Southpoint Baptist Church for 45 years. Her early career was as an elementary school teacher and then she and her husband owned and operated James Auto Trim for over 35 years. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, James Mette, two daughters Pam (Bill) Sands, Tracy (Bruce) Stevens; a sister Beverly Boone of Milford, CT and three grandchildren Meredith Sands, Jeremy Stevens and Jessica Stevens.
