Mrs. Carrie Bell Sellers Griffis age 96, of Starke passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 in Gainesville. Carrie was born on March 26, 1928 in Lake Butler to the late John and Alma (Forsyth) Bell and was a lifelong area resident. Prior to retirement she was a laundress and a homemaker. She loved Lifeline Ministers, flower gardening, spending time with her family and quilting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jeff Sellers and Russell Griffis along with siblings, Irven Bell, Ray Bell, Lawrence Bell, Milton Bell, Wilbur Bell, Annie Mae Crews, Eva Griffis, Mabel Sellers and Earleen Tyler. Survivors are, her children, Evelyn Clayborn (the late Donald) of Augusta, GA, Linda Thames (James) of Waynesboro, GA, Anna Kirley (the late Bernard) of Gainesville, James Sellers (Linda) of Crestview, Marvin Sellers (the late Mittie) of Starke, Glenn Sellers (Theresa) of Belleview, Clayton Sellers of Starke, sister, Marilyn Wilkinson of Starke. Also left are her nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.The family will receive friends at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the DeWitt C.
