Carter Lewis Starling, 5 months old, passed away in Gainesville on May 31, 2019. Carter was born to Clayton and Katelyn "Hinson" Starling on December 15, 2018 in his Papas Dodge on Blanding Blvd in Orange Park. Although he was young, Carter was strong and a fighter. He was beloved by his parents and his older brother Braxton Starling. Carter touched many lives locally and around the world. The Starling, Griffis, and Keaton families would like to thank the community for their thoughts, prayers, and love they received throughout this trying time.He was preceded in death by his Papa Brian E. Hinson, Papa Mark Manning, great-grandpa, W. Marjay Hinson; and his grandpa, James K. Tuten and his great grand dad Terry L. Akins, Sr. Survivors include his parents, Clayton and Katelyn "Hinson" Starling of Keystone Heights; brother, Braxton K. Starling of Keystone Heights; grandparents, Rebecca and Lionel D. Griffis of Starke and Angelia D. and Derrell W. Keaton of Keystone Heights; and many other family members.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel. A visitation will take place Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Waldo.
