Catherine Rutledge, 95 of Trenton, Florida passed away on on Friday, July 21, 2023. Born May 16, 1928 in Lakeland, Florida to Randolph and Lena (Walker) Crawford. Catherine was a graduate of Newberry High School and worked for the Alachua County School Board for thirty years . She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Trenton and was the very first Watermelon Queen in Newberry.She is survived by three children, Kitty, Nell (Terrell), and Mike (Shirley), by six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 25th at Forest Meadows Cemetery-West.
