Mary B. Cathey Donn age 51, of Gainesville passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012 from injuries she had sustained in an automobile accident. Cathey was born in Crossville, Tennessee on May 24, 1961. Seven years ago Cathey had moved from Keystone Heights to Gainesville where she was a Certified Nurses Assistant for many years. She was raised in the Baptist Faith and loved Art and Crafts. Her husband James L. Donn had preceded her in death in 2002. Survivors are her Parents; Carolyn and Don Holtz of Florahome and her father and step mother Clayton and Brenda Brewer of Chattanooga, Tennessee, four siblings; Karen McCallister (Randy Sullivan) of Raiford, Amber Walker (John) of Jewett, Texas, Jon Holtz (Laurie), Ed Holtz (Gloria) all of Battle Creek, Michigan and Donna Shackelford (James) of Walnut Grove, Texas. Cathey also leaves behind her companion Mark Hopkins of Gainesville and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Cathey will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel in Starke with Mr. Shay Hill officiating. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. and burial will follow at the Lawtey Cemetery.
