Cathy Jean Bruce

Mrs. Cathy Jean Bruce, age 50, of Lake Geneva passed away at her home, Friday, May 06, 2016. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 1, 1965. Cathy has had many titles in her career such as, being a CNA at both nursing homes in Starke, waitressing, being a beautician, bookkeeper, and office manager for her moms pest control business. Most of all, Cathy loved being with her grandson and family. Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Marcus Bruce and three siblings, Marcus M. Bruce, Terry Hendrix, and Vikki Brooks. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Miller of Lake Geneva; one son, Brandon Miller of Keystone Heights and her mother and step father, Hazel (Wyatt) Bruce and Russell E. Erdman of Lake Geneva. Also left behind is one sister, Margaret Shellnutt of Keystone Heights; one brother, Anthony R. Bruce of Stockbridge, Georgia; one grandson, Brynn Reaser, and her companion of 24 years, Ray Frey of Keystone Heights. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
