Charles Francis Blessington, "Chuck" , 76, of (Gainesville, FL) , passed away on January 14, 2024. Chuck was born in Clinton, Iowa on March 9, 1947 to Joseph C Blessingon and Maxine Duhr Blessington. Chuckwas married to Lucy Negrn Blessington. Chuck worked as a mental health counselor for the State of Florida. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, the beach, and spending time with his family. He was a decorated army veteran who served in Korea. He was a champion of mental health and veterans causes. He spent his life in service of others.He is survived by his children: Kristian J Blessington, Kari J Teelahti, and Johanna M Aponte and grandchild Leandro M Aponte. He is survived by his sisters Mary Jo Talkington, Ann Geronzin, and Betty Jones. Chuck is preceded in death by his mother Maxine, father Joseph, and brother Robert Blessington. He died the same time as his wife, Lucy Negron Blessington.The funeral/memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday January 29th at Forest MeadowsMemorial Park 4100 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32606 .
