Charles Leo "Chuck" Casey Jr., aged 70, made his final flight on November 23, 2024, in Middleburg, Florida. Born on December 19th, 1953, in Pasadena, Texas, Chuck lived a life marked by service, passion, and dedication to his family and community.Chuck proudly served in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1981 as an aircraft mechanic, a role that fueled his lifelong passion for aviation. Chuck was also a Master Mason and member of the Army Lodge 1105 in San Antonio, TX. Following his military service, he continued to serve his community in Bandera, Texas, as a police officer. His professional journey led him back to his love for aviation, where he eventually retired as an aeronautical planner and estimator.Chuck was a man of many talents and interests and flying was at the top of the list. He could tell you what type of plane it was just by listening to the engine as it flew by overhead. He was an accomplished musician, playing the guitar, Native American flute, and harmonica. He was an amateur HAM radio operator. Chuck was known for his enthusiasm and commitment to his hobbies. When it came to learning he was "all in" becoming an expert in hobby he chose to study. He loved photography and would often get up before the sun to embark on photoshoots.Above all, Chuck's greatest passion was his family. He is survived by his wife, Misty Casey, and his children: Chasity Esquivel (Rudy), Charles Leo Casey (Shelly), Bobby Joe Casey (Leigh Ann), Raymond Casey (Kristen), Matthew Barth (Kristin), Nicole Barth (Wayne Broomall), Casey Valentine (Matthew), Cody Barth, and Mark Lowry. He also leaves behind his sisters, Brenda Barrington, Tammy Wood (Glenn), and Lisa Casey, along with 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Leo Casey Sr. and Ann C. Engdol, and his brother, Charles D. Casey and brother-in-law Mike Barrington. A celebration to honor a life well lived will be held on December 13, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
