Charles Burton Dobbs, 81, of Lawtey, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center.Born on January 6, 1942, in Jacksonville, Fl to the late Casey Dobbs and Christine Thelma Cundiff Dobbs. Mr. Dobbs was a lifelong mechanic, he enjoyed carpentry work, woodworking, especially making bird houses, hunting, and fishing. Family was everything to Charles and he cherished them. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon C. Dobbs, son Charles Daniel Dobbs.He is survived by his daughter Melinda Gatlin (Bill) of Lawtey, Fl, grandchildren; Tiffany Young (Sidney) of Lawtey, Fl, William Gatlin III of Keystone Heights, Fl, and Hollie Nichols (Evan) of Gainesville, Fl, sisters; Rosalee Carmichael of Branford, Fl, Frances Hardee of Keystone Heights, Fl, Terri Carpenter of Middleburg, Fl, Shirley Noles of Glenn Saint Marys, Fl., brothers; Casey Dobbs Jr., of Jacksonville, Fl., Joey Dobbs (Tina) of Lawtey , Fl, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
