GreeneMr. Charles Arson Greene, 74 of Starke died Wednesday March 4, 2009 in the Malcom Randall Veterans Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Greene was born on August 17, 1934 in Orange Park to the late Christopher and Mary (Hardenbrook). Mr. Greene was a longtime resident of Starke and member of the Morgan Road Baptist Church. Mr. Greene was a retired automobile mechanic for Noegels Auto Sales and he also served in the United States Marine Corps. during the Korean conflict. His survivors include his wife of 46 years: Mary (Aultman) Greene and their daughters, Nita Mobley of Starke, Jane Greene of McIntosh, and Betty Hardenbrook of Starke. Sisters, Ellen Fry of Middleburg and Pearl Messer of Orange Park. Father and mother in law: Cecil and Thelma Aultman of Gleencoe, AL, r grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his son Chris. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 12:00 noon at the Peoria Cemetery in Orange Park with the Reverend Harold Murphee of Ringgold, GA. In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions be made to the Pallative Care Unit C/O Veterans View, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, Fl 32608.
