Charles Edwin Hutcheson

Mr. Charles Edwin Hutcheson, age 83, of Starke passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at Haven Hospice in Gainesville. He was born in Bradford County on January 12, 1933 to the late Clarence C. and Edith (Conner) Hutcheson; he had also served in the United States Army. Mr. Hutcheson was employed with Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc. working in Public Relations until his retirement. He was a former Starke Rotarian and Cub Master with Cub Scouts along with being a 4H Foundation member. Mr. Hutcheson is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Jean (Mulea) and their son, Charles "Chuck" Edwin (Rosa) Hutcheson, II of McKenzie, TN; four siblings, Aaron (Lorene) Hutcheson of Clarksville, TN, Carolyn Fuqua, Rudolph (Joyce) Hutcheson and Linda Wise (Wallace) all of Starke. Also left behind are two grandchildren, Mark Hutcheson and Beth Dudley. A memorial service for Mr. Hutcheson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Reverend Roman Alvarez and Reverend Ben Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
