Charles L Mills

Mr. Charles L. Mills, Jr., 54 of Middleburg, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Mr. Mills was born February 5, 1966 in Louisiana, Missouri. He was a master mechanic and an owner-operator as a heavy equipment and long-haul trucker. Charles loved fast vehicles and motorcycles, especially Harleys, and loved taking trips on his bike to Sturgis and Bike Week. He was an amazing story teller and loved watching a good movie. His children were his pride and joy and loved them immensely. His grandmother, Zelma Patterson, and sister, Heather Mills, preceded him in death. Survivors are his children, Cory Mills and Austin Mills both of Macclenny, Justin Creel of St. Johns, and Brittany Grimes of Jacksonville Beach, wife, Nina Creel-Mills of Middleburg, and siblings, Tina Dillard-Wright and Stephen Patterson both of Savannah, Georgia. Also surviving him is his grandson, Leland Creel and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 1, 2020 in the Chapel of Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home with Brother Rick Crews officiating. A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
