Charles "Charlie" Patrick "Pat" Sapp

Mr. Charles Patrick "Charlie" or "Pat" Sapp, Jr., age 62 of Lawtey, passed away Thursday, September 28th, 2017 at his home. Mr. Sapp was born on August 16, 1955 in Jacksonville to the late Charles and Wanda (Linzy) Sapp and was a lifelong area resident. Prior to retirement he worked as a crane operator for Johnson Crane Service. Charlie was a member of First Baptist Church of Raiford. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming and woodworking. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, listening to Elvis and just aggravating any and all. He also loved his dogs, Chopper and Sunshine. Preceding him in death was his brother, Robert "Bob" Sapp. Survivors are: his wife of 24 years, Tammie (Starling) Sapp of Lawtey, children: Heather Raish (Tony) of Lawtey, Heidi Sapp of Melrose, Charles Sapp, III (Lori) of Keystone Heights, Devin Sapp (Danielle) of Starke; siblings: Joy White (Tim) of Poplarville, MS, Sheryl Sapp of Lawtey and Jon Sapp (Debbie) of Taylor. Also left behind are his seven grandchildren, his father and mother-in-law, Craig and Tammie Starling of Starke and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Raiford on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with funeral services beginning at 2 oclock. Interment will be private at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery. The family wishes to express thanks and gratitude to all doctors, nurses and staff at the 7th floor Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic of Shands Cancer Center at the University of Florida for all for all of the fabulous care Charlie received while under their care.
