Charles William Saunders

Charles (Bill) Saunders, 87 transitioned to his eternal home on May 16, 2018. He was employed at CSX RR for 47 Years. He was an active Member of First Baptist Church, Downtown Jacksonville for Fifty Years, where he was a Sunday School Teacher, Class Administrator, a Deacon and served on the Baptism and Counting Committee. Predeceased by his parents; James and Ethel Saunders; a brother JP, and a nephew Jimmy. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years; Betty. A daughter Shannon Mullins (Greg); Three Grandchildren; Garrett, Gabriele and Grace; and a niece Alice Pittman (Bill). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11AM in the Hobson Auditorium of First Baptist Church Downtown with Pastor John Sullivan officiating. A viewing will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private for family only.
