Mr. Charles Randolph Taylor, Sr. 82, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Mr. Taylor was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 11, 1929 to the late Harry and Carrie (Prevatt) Taylor. Prior to serving in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, he served in the Florida National Guard for 17 years as a Master Sergeant. Mr. Taylor was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He retired from Moran Towing Company as a Tug Boat Marine Engineer. Preceding him in death were his siblings, Patsy Sapp, Dennis Taylor, and Christine Blackwelder. Survivors are his wife of 55 years; Marilyn (ONeal) Taylor, sons; Charles R. Scotty Taylor, Jr. (Paula), Robert K. Robby Taylor, Sr. (Renee), and Jeffery Drew Taylor (Lynette) all of Middleburg, siblings; Harry W. Taylor (Claudia) of Middleburg and Mytzi Saunders (James) of Penney Farms. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Robert Keith Taylor, Jr., Kourtney Renee Woodruff (Mike), Brittany Allison Weaver (Steven), Winston Brent Taylor, and Brandy Williams; great grandchildren, Kayden Taylor and Harper Grace Taylor Woodruff. The family will receive friends at the JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 620 E. Nona St. in Starke on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Harry Douglas and Reverend Charlie Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
