Mr. Charles "Charlie" Ray Wheeler, age 63, of Keystone Heights passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Community Hospice in Jacksonville. He was born August 14, 1956, in Lake City to the late Kenneth and Beadie (Carlton) Wheeler. Charlie moved to Keystone 44 years ago from Jacksonville where he grew up. He was a retired Master Electrician and attended Lake Area Bible Church. He was musically talented, he loved playing Rock & Roll and Gospel music on the piano and his guitar. Charlie was also a team roper and enjoyed sitting at the Bait and Tackle telling stories. He was mostly known for being a wonderful husband, father and brother. Charlie leaves behind his wife of 44 years Mary (Walker) Wheeler of Keystone Heights and their children Drew Wheeler of Melrose and Jillian Keith of Ocala. Also left behind are two brothers Keith Wheeler (Sue) of NC, and Wesley Wheeler (Veronica J.) of DC along with a step brother Joey Huff of FL and a step sister Sandy Huff of SC. A Celebration of Life will be held February 22, 2020, at Brooklyn Boys in Keystone Heights with the time to be determined.
