Charles Gregory Williford (Greg), 62, born July 26, 1953 passed away Friday January 1, 2016. Son of Madge Williford and the late Charlie Williford. He is survived by his daughters Amy Nakamura (Randy) and Amber Williford, and their mother Kathy Williford. He is also survived by his sister Janet Horton, his beautiful granddaughter Piper Nakamura and many other family members. Greg would often be found fishing off Jacksonville and St. Augustine beach with shrimp soaked in Diet Pepsi, handing candy out to friends and everyone else he came in contact with. After fishing trips, if he didn't give away his daily catch to neighbors and friends, he would fry up a mean whiting fish dinner for the family. He had a green thumb like no other and kept a colorful yard just like his father. He always lent a helping hand to neighbors and all who were close to him. He enjoyed taking his mother to church on Sundays and lunching together at Outback Steakhouse. Greg loved his two daughters dearly. Some of their fondest memories are weekend beach trips, building drip sandcastles, bodysurfing and singing oldie tunes like the Beach Boys loudly in the car.He loved his baby granddaughter Piper Nakamura more than anything. He spent days with her at the beach and pool, enjoyed her first family trip to the zoo and celebrated her first Christmas. He was very close friends with his daughter's mom Kathy, they enjoyed going shopping, out to dinner and fun trips like their 2014 Thanksgiving trip to NYC to see the Macy's Day Parade. Greg was a UPS driver for 25 years in Arlington and Ponte Vedra Beach and was very fond of the people who lived or ran store fronts on his route. He considered them all friends and made each and every person he came in contact with feel special. Greg will be missed by all, but his memories will remain forever in the hearts of all who loved him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9th at One Ocean Resort, One Ocean Blvd. Atlantic Beach, Florida. Visitation will start at 2pm followed by a service at 3pm.
