Charles Alton Wood, 51, of Alachua, passed away on May 9 at his residence.Charles was born on January 10, 1961 in Leary, Georgia to Alton and Betty Wood. He was self employed in the lawn maintenance industry. He was a member of the "Victory Motorcycle Club (Also known as Coast to Coast)".He is survived by his parents Alton & Betty Wood of Hawthorne, FL; a daughter, Nicole (Joey) Gore of High Springs, FL; one brother, Alvin L. Wood of Bonifay, FL and one sister, Deborah W. (Jeffrey) Beals of Hawthorne, FL.A visitation was held on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville from 2 to 4 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Keith officiating. Burial followed at Countryside Cemetery.
