Chiu Mei Ou, 68, passed away suddenly on October 11, 2012 at Shands Hospital. Chiu Mei was born in Pingtung, Taiwan and moved to the United States in 1969 and to Gainesville in 1975. She was a teacher while living in Taiwan, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, walking with friends, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Li-Tse Ou, son Mark Song-Fong Ou of Gainesville, and daughter Maisie Ou Gosnell of Middletown, Delaware, grandchildren Riley, Caoimhe, and Eibhleann.Private Services will be held by the family.
