Mrs. Christine Thelma Cundiff Dobbs age 89 of Lawtey passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at Macclenny Nursing and Rehab. Mrs. Dobbs was born on August 9, 1919 in Grassy Creek, Kentucky to Joseph and Rosalee Wheeler Cundiff, and moved to Lawtey in 2004 after 61 years in Jacksonville. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Casey Dobbs, Sr. Survivors are her children: Rosalee Carmichael of Branford; Shirley Noles of Glen St. Mary; Frances Hardee of Keystone Heights; Terri Carpenter; Casey Dobbs, Jr. both of Jacksonville; Charles B. Dobbs of Lawtey; and Arlie Joseph Dobbs of Starke; 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 14th at 11:00 AM in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Reverend Lester Austin officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville.
