Obituary

Christopher Forrest Blockberger Sr., affectionately known as Christopher to his friends and family, passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 15, 2026, in Jacksonville. Born on February 14, 1975, in Norfolk, Virginia, Christopher's life was a testament to the values of hard work, devotion to family, and steadfast faith.

Christopher was a proud graduate of Escambia High School, Class of 1993, where he not only formed lifelong friendships but also discovered his passion for carpentry. This skill would define his career, as he became an accomplished carpenter known for his meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail. Colleagues and clients alike respected Christopher for his integrity and dedication to his trade.

Beyond his professional achievements, Christopher was a man deeply rooted in his Christian faith. It was this faith that guided him through life's triumphs and trials and imbued him with a sense of purpose and compassion.

The centerpiece of Christopher's life was undoubtedly his family. He was a loving and dedicated father to his two children, Christopher Forrest Blockberger Jr. and Brooklyn Victoria Blockberger. His children remember him as a guiding light who always encouraged them to pursue their dreams with courage and determination. Christopher's mother, Dorita Garcia Blockberger, was a constant source of love and support throughout his life, and their bond remained unbreakable until his last moments.

Christopher's interests were a reflection of his love for life and family. He found joy in simple pleasures like family gatherings, where he could share stories and laughter with his loved ones. His children recall countless afternoons spent with their father, working on various projects around the house, where he not only taught them the value of hard work but also the importance of patience and resilience. The family will receive friends Friday March 20, 2026 from 2-4 PM at Moloney-Hewell Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, Jacksonville, Florida 32216.
