Christopher Duane Brown

Mr. Christopher Duane Brown age 41, of Hampton passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Shands UF in Gainesville following an extended illness. Chris was born on May 20, 1976 in Gainesville to Kenneth "Jerry" and Theresa (Mobley) Brown. He was a Correctional Officer with the Department of Corrections for seventeen years. Chris enjoyed fishing and camping. He was always tinkering with something. He was a member of Hampton Baptist Church and was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan.Chris is survived by his parents, Jerry and Theresa Brown of Hampton; sons, Christopher Phillip Brown and William Kenneth Brown, both of Hampton; fianc, Vickie Crews of Hampton; sister, Terrie Nazworth (Timmy) of Starke; sister-in-law, Chrissy Allen Thompson (Ricky); aunts, Virginia Crawford (Jack), Martha Brown (Lamar), Kathy Grant (Bob), Dorine Cauthern, Alice Surrency, Barbara Crews (Jr.), and Glenda Jones (Paul); uncles, Don Brown, Kindle Mobley (Nita), Steve Mobley (Nicky), and Vernon Mobley; nieces, Makayla Farmer (Cameron), and Courtney Allen; nephews, Lloyd "Bo" Webb, III, and Brandon Nazworth; great niece, Dixie Webb; along with a host of cousins, other family members, and friends.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Hampton Baptist Church with Pastor Kris Elkins officiating.
