Christopher "Chris" Ratliff

Mr. Christopher Shawn "Chris" Ratliff age 53 of Starke passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville. Chris was born on March 1, 1966 in Jefferson County, Missouri and worked 21 years for the Florida Department of Corrections at Florida State Prison and recently at New River Correctional Institute. He was a sportsman who enjoyed shooting his guns, his bow, fishing and raising dogs. Chris also enjoyed fitness and a good computer challenge. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Terry (Fagan) Ratliff of Starke; daughters Brittany (Ben) Thompson of Louisville, KY and Jacqueline Ratliff of Denver, CO; his mother, Carolyn (Hallett) Ratliff of Missouri; brothers Jay (Kelly) Hallett of Kansas City, MO and Glen Hallett of Kansas City, MO; his sister-in-law, Vicky Bowen (Steven) of Reedville, VA; and his nephew, Patrick Bowen of Washington, DC.
